How do you treat excessive sweating?

​

Excessive sweating, known medically as hyperhidrosis  can be treated with injections of botulinum toxin.

​

How does that work?

Injections of botulinum toxin prevent the sweat glands from contracting and pushing out sweat.

​

What areas can be treated?

​

The most common affected area is in the armpit. However feet, hands and the hairline can also be treated.

 

How long will it take to see results?

​

 You will experience a reduction in sweat production over the next 2 weeks.   

​

How long will the effects last for?

​

On average 4-6months

What are the side effects  treatment?

Local reactions at the site of the injections include bumps or bruises.These should pass quickly.I

What should I do after my treatment?

​

Keep the area clean and dry.  Do not apply any make up or creams to the treated area for 24 hours. You can wear deodorant the day after treatment.
