Service Description

What is a Chemical Peel? Chemical peels use fruit acids to chemically exfoliate the upper layers of skin. It is the build up of dead skin cells that can make the skin appear dull, hyperpigmented, congested and aged. We use the Neostrata ProSytem which utilises three different alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs); glycolic, citric mandelic in clinically effective concentrations, to treat a wide range of conditions. What improvements can I expect from chemical peels? It is important to have realistic expectations in regard to what a series of peels can accomplish. In general people see diminished appearance of fine lines/wrinkles evening of skin tone and lightened discolourations diminished appearance of pore size Improved skin tone and texture reduced appearance of blemishes from acne softening of shallow scars skin glow and radiance. How quickly can I see results from peels? Chemical peels give the best results when done as a course of 4-6, with peels done roughly 4 weeks apart. Most clients see benefits after the first 1-3 peels. Where can I have a Chemical Peel? Chemical peels can be performed on the face, hands, chest and decolletage, shoulders, back, neck and feet. Can anyone have a Chemical Peel? Pregnant or nursing women should not have chemical peels.
